The Schoolhouse

In 1971, Bill purchased a historic Schoolhouse on North Washington Street and changed the name of the company from Office Coffee Service to Boyer Coffee Company, Inc. Soon after, he converted the schoolhouse to the factory we call home today. As his roasting techniques advanced and his customers increased, Bill slowly expanded, adding one building at a time.

What was once a quaint historic schoolhouse is now a 26,000 square foot roasterie stretching nearly 2.1 acres. Inside you can find the administration offices, the brewing equipment service area, our packaging facility, three roasters, and the “jewel” – the green bean warehouse where we store all of our imported coffee beans from selected growers we partner with around the world.

The schoolhouse maintains the original Colorado charm Bill Boyer fell in love with over 4 decades ago. To this day, all our coffees are hand selected, roasted and blended under the very same roof. It may be old fashioned, but our local coffeehouse allows our coffee to travel from the roaster to the shelf remarkably fast, creating a freshness you can taste. Stop by to see our roasters at work, explore a variety of our coffees and enjoy the distinct flavor that is Boyer’s Coffee.
